AS A SENIOR (2006): Chosen to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight year. Did not participate in any games for the Orange and Blue.
AS A JUNIOR (2005): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the first time at Florida. Did not see any action for the Gators.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2004): Did not see any action during his first year in Gainesville.
AT FURMAN (2003): Played in one game at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. Had one at bat. Named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Fred Pisano at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Fla. Sat out his senior year due to an injury. Hit .330 with eight doubles and three homers during his junior campaign in helping Berkeley to a state tournament appearance. Recorded a .970 field percentage and had two triples. Named "Class of the County" team by the St. Petersburg Times. Batted .378 as a sophomore and maintained a perfect fielding percentage as his squad finished 23-6. Received honorable mention All-Polk County playing center field. Registered a .444 clip in his freshman year as his club went 20-5. Garnered all-conference recognition in football and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Club. Also lettered in cross country, soccer and tennis in high school.
