2003: Made just three appearances after working his way back after shoulder surgery … Pitched 2.1 innings and gave up seven hits and three runs with a walk and three stikreouts … Made first appearance since 2002 Feb. 15 at Miami (Fla.).
2003: Sat out the 2003 season recovering from shoulder injury.
2002: Was very effective out of the bullpen and as a starter in his freshman season … Finished the year with a 5-1 record with two saves and a 4.57 ERA … His five wins were fourth on the team … Threw 45.1 innings in 19 appearances and two starts … Struck out 24 and walked just eight … In conference games he had a 3.20 ERA and a 2-0 record in seven appearances and 19.2 innings … Made first career appearance Feb. 16 against Winthrop when he threw three innings and gave up five hits, one run while walking one and striking out one … Fired 5.2 innings of perfect relief at Mississippi State May 3 when he gave up just two hits and struck out a career-high four … Earned first career win in second appearance against Siena Feb. 27 … In that game he pitched three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out one … Picked up first save by finishing game against Georgia April 27 when he pitched 0.1 innings and struck out the final batter to end the game … Threw 4.1 innings against Vanderbilt April 19 and gave up five hits, two runs and struck out one … Against Miami June 1 at NCAA Regional he pitched 2.2 innings and gave up four hits and two runs (one earned) … Had eight appearances where he pitched three or more innings … Struck out at least one hitter in 14 of 19 appearances … In six outings he did not give up an earned run … Will enter this season riding a four-game winning streak.
PREP: A 2001 graduate of Jesuit High School in Tampa, Fla. where he lettered three years for head coach John Crumbley … Helped lead Jesuit to state title as a junior, started and pitched state title game vs. Bishop Kenny (3.0 IP, three hits, one run, two strikeouts) … Named second team All-State as a senior … Graduated Cum Laude and was a MDA camp counselor.
