2004: Was redshirted in his first season on the Florida campus.

PREP: Played and lettered four years for Milton High School for three coaches - Charlie Beverly, Don Allen and Greg Robinson ... In his career he held a 2.82 ERA and had a .338 batting average ... Led team to a region runner-up finish in his final high school season ... Threw a perfect game against Murray County as a senior and also threw two one-hitters against Roswell (GA) in his final season ... Atlanta area all-region selection as a senior ... Was named the Atlanta Journal Player of the Month for April during his final season ... In 2002 as a junior he helped lead his team to a region championship as he went 6-2 with three saves and had a 2.24 ERA on the mound ... Also struck out 61 in 52.0 innings.. At the plate he hit .342 with one homer and 22 RBI ... His sophomore season he was 6-1 with two saves and held a 2.67 ERA and struck out 47 in 48.0 innings of work.

SUMMER: Pitched for the East Cobb Astros team four straight summers ... Won a AAU National Championship in 2002 ... That summer he went 6-1 with a 2.37 ERA on the mound ... In 2000 he went 11-0 with a 1.74 ERA and was named the Most Valuable Pitcher following that summer.
