AS A JUNIOR (2006): Did not see any action for the Gators.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005): Achieved Academic All-SEC recognition for the second year in a row…Participated in four games for the Gators…Played twice against Florida A&M (Feb. 15 & 22), Charleston Southern (Feb. 13) and Michigan State (March 11)…Was 0-for-2 at the plate with one walk and one hit by pitch.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Selected to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the first time…Did not see any action.
(2003): Was redshirted in his first season on the Florida campus.
SUMMER: Started all 47 games for the Front Royal (Va.) Cardinals of the Valley League last summer…Ranked second on the club in walks (28) and was third in RBI (25), doubles (eight) and home runs (seven)…Represented the Martin & St. Lucie County American Legion team in 2002 and played for the Boca Lightning in the Connie Mack League in 2001.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters in baseball at Martin County High School for head coach Mike Thiesen…Chosen all-conference as a senior…Collected team Most Valuable Player honors as a sophomore and was the Most Outstanding Player at the Robbie Souza Memorial Classic during his final prep season…Holds school's career records for walks (56) and doubles (24), as well as the single-season standard for walks (24 in 2002)…Also picked up three varsity letters in soccer and two more in cross country…Was an all-area goalkeeper on the pitch…Was a member of the National Honor Society and received an Academic All-Star Award in the 2001-02 school year.
