HIGH SCHOOL: Was both a pitcher and outfielder at Lake Wales High School for head coach Jasone DeWitt…Rated as the 105th-best senior prospect by Team One Baseball…Batted .354 as a junior with 15 stolen bases…Had 10 thefts and hit .301 during his sophomore campaign…Played for the ABD Bulldogs and earned a win on the mound at the 2003 Perfect Game/Baseball America Wood Bat Championships…Honorable mention all-state selection in Class 3A as a senior playing defensive back for the Highlander football team and saw time at wide receiver …Also lettered in basketball at LWHS.
