AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll…Made five relief appearances for the Gators…Over two innings, the left-hander totaled four strikeouts, issued two walks, yielded two runs (one earned) and gave up one hit…Struck out the lone batter he faced in the Gators’ 6-2 win over Stony Brook that completed a weekend sweep…Tied career high with an inning of work in the season opener against Rhode Island, when he struck out two of the three hitters he faced during a clean seventh inning.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll…Did not allow any hits or runs in his six appearances covering 3.1 innings…Registered three strikeouts and permitted one walk…Retired the only batter he faced in the SEC Tournament final against No. 8 LSU…Worked a clean inning in the third game at Tennessee…Notched a strikeout versus Mercer…Saw first collegiate action in the second meeting with No. 17 Miami (FL) and collected his first career strikeout.

HIGH SCHOOL: Left-handed pitcher from Fletcher High School who played for head coach Bob Shepherd…Ranked as the No. 19 left-hander in the state of Florida in the Class of 2013 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Was named to Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida All-Region Honorable Mention Team prior to his senior year…Collected all-state recognition in Class 8A and was named first-team All-First Coast after going 8-0 with a 2.22 earned run average…Registered 88 strikeouts in 63 innings for the Senators, who advanced to the regional semifinals and finished with a record of 25-5…Fired a two-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts against Ocala Forest in the Class 7A regional quarterfinals…Deel was just two batters over the minimum in the final four frames and the contest lasted 90 minutes…Belted a three-run homer against Englewood in a District 2-7A semifinal matchup and had a team-leading .375 batting average…Earned second-team All-First Coast as a junior at the utility spot by hitting .444 with 30 RBI, 16 runs, nine doubles and eight stolen bases.
