Why UF?
I chose UF and the Dazzlers because this was truly my dream team. When I was initially rejected from UF, I was discouraged and heartbroken because I had pictured myself being a Gator for so long. Once I found out about UF Online, I immediately applied and decided to take a chance, even though I didn’t know if I would be accepted. I submitted my first round of Dazzlers audition material before I even knew if I would be attending UF Online. When I was admitted before semifinals, I was beyond excited and grateful to continue pursuing this dream. Making it that far in the audition process already filled me with so much joy, and when I found out I made the team, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. I remind myself every day to appreciate this opportunity because being a Dazzler was once a dream of mine, and it is a dream that so many other girls have, too. What makes this team even more special is the people. Every girl is beautiful inside and out, and I truly feel like I have found people who will become some of my best friends for life. Being a Dazzler is more than being on a team, it is a dream I get to live every day, and I never want to take that for granted.What movie character do you relate to and why?
I relate to Buster Moon from Sing because he is someone who believes in his dreams and doesn’t give up on them, even when things get difficult. I love how passionate and hopeful he is, and how he always finds a way to keep going when things don’t go as planned. I feel like I can relate to that because when something really matters to me, I’m willing to work hard and keep trying, even when I face setbacks.What legacy do you hope to leave for future Dazzlers?
I hope to leave a legacy of kindness, support, and genuine leadership for future Dazzlers. I want every girl I encounter to feel valued, encouraged, and supported. I hope to lead by example by lifting others up, celebrating their successes, and reminding my teammates that we are always stronger together. Most importantly, I want future Dazzlers to feel the same sense of love and belonging that this team has given me.Friday, October 09
