Why UF?
As an out-of-state student from Texas, getting accepted to UF honestly shocked me, in the best possible way! UF is such an incredible school in every aspect, from its academics and athletics to the energy and community of Gator Nation. When I attended my first Dazzlers dance clinic, I immediately fell in love with the campus, the team, and the atmosphere. Being here made me realize that UF wasn’t simply a school I wanted to attend, it was exactly where I was meant to be. I could truly see myself growing academically, becoming part of Gator Nation, and continuing my passion for dance as a Florida Dazzler! What movie character do you relate to and why?
I would say I relate most to Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. She’s independent, strong-minded, and always stays true to herself. I’ve always been someone who knows what I want and isn’t afraid to go after it, even when it means doing things on my own! As the oldest daughter in my family, I’m really close with my siblings and have always been very protective of the people I love. I also relate to Katniss because she isn’t afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she belives in! Moving away from home, traveling, and learning to live independently has made me even more confident in who I am and the path I want to create for myself. What legacy do you hope to leave for future Dazzlers?
I hope to leave a legacy of confidence, hard work, and being someone my teammates could always count on. I want future Dazzlers to remember me as someone who always brought energy into the room, pushed myself to be better, and encouraged the people around me to do the same. More than anything, I hope I can inspire future Dazzlers to be confident in who they are, enjoy every moment, and make the most of their time on this team.Thursday, October 29
