Ended his season by clocking season-best times and NCAA ‘B’ cuts in the 100 Free (44.06) and 200 Free (1:36.81) in addition to a season best in the 500 Free (4:36.21) at the 2016 Bulldog Invitational (Last Chance Meet)… competed in seven meets throughout the 2016 regular season… swam as strong meet to open the season at the All Florida Invitational, picking up several top-three finishes as a member of Florida’s first-place finishing 200 Medley Relay, second-place finishing 800 Free Relay, and finishing the meet with third-place finishes in both the 200 and 400 Free Relay… Honors: named to 2015 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll…
2014-15:
Ended his season by clocking career-best times in four events (50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 100 Fly) at Florida’s Last Chance Meet… Competed in the 100-yard butterfly (50.64) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.02) in UF’s dual meet against Tennessee… Made his UF debut in at the Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational where he competed in five events and recorded his best finish in the 200-yard freestyle prelims, as he placed 12th in 1:43.57.
2013-14:
Sat out season as a redshirt.
Prior to Florida:
Named a second-team All-Conference performer in 2011… Swam at The Bolles School and trained with the Bolles School Sharks… Coached by Sergio Lopez… Parents are Hugo and Michelle… Brother of former Gator swimmer Levar Goossen… Nephew of current Associate Head Coach Anthony Nesty.
