National/International Competition:

Competed in two events at the 2014 European Championships… Participated in the 2011 FINA Junior Swimming Championships for Poland… Won silver in the 100m and 200m free and was a member of the bronze medal 4x200 free relay team.

At Florida

2015-2016:

NCAA Championships: Contributed to 44 of Florida’s 334 team points in route to the team’s third-place finish… opened the championships by earning the All-American status as a member of UF’s third-place finishing 800 Free Relay squad (6:09.84)… picked up a ninth-place finish in the 500 Free with a 4:13.79… competed in the ‘B’ final and finished 14th overall in the 200 Free, clocking a 1:33.77… rounded out competition in the 100 Free with a 33rd-place showing in the prelims (43.50)… SEC Championships: Helped generate 120 of Florida’s 1,275 team points while scoring across four events… brought home two SEC Titles in the 500 Yard Freestyle (6:13.63) and as a member of the 800 Freestyle Relay (6:13.64)… finished ninth overall in the ‘B’ final of the 200 Free with a time of 1:34.99… rounded out his scoring opportunities in the 100 Free with a 21st-place finish at 44.01… participated in all nine regular-season meets and tallied 17 wins (eight relay, nine individual)… Honors: Named First-Team All-Southeastern Conference… 2015 Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll Selectee…

2014-15:

NCAA Championships: Earned two All-American honors, as he was a member of the Gators seventh-place 800-yard freestyle relay (6:17.12) and 10th-place 200-yard freestyle relay squad (1:17.35)… SEC Championships: Won his second-career SEC Championship as a member of the Gators 800-yard freestyle relay team (6:12.85 – UF record)… Was also a member of UF’s third place 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay squads that clocked times of 1:17.16 and 2:50.31, respectively… Also placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:34.49), placed 10th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:16.54) and 16th in the 100-yard freestyle (43.84) races… Finished with nine individual wins and was part of six first-place relay teams during the dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Two-time All-American… First Team All-SEC… 2015 SEC Academic Honor Roll.

2013-14:

NCAA Championships: Placed 27^th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.41), 40^th in the 50-yard freestyle (19.84) and clocked a time of 44.03 in the 100-yard freestyle… SEC Championships: Was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:16.88) that placed third to earn Werner and his relay teammates second-team All-SEC honors… Individually, Werner placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:34.84) and he won the ‘C’ final of the 100-yard freestyle in 43.51 seconds… Placed first in two individual events during dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Second Team All-SEC… 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.

2012-13:

NCAA Championships: Was a member of the NCAA Champion 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished in a UF-record time of 6:13.27… Earned four All-America honors as a part of three relays (800-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle) and for his 14^th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:33.90)… SEC Championships: Was a member of the SEC Champion 800-yard freestyle relay team, where that squad set the second-fastest time in school history... Individually, won his first individual SEC title in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:33.82… In addition, Werner placed 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (43.42), 17^th in the 50-yard freestyle (19.94)... Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors for the second time following an outstanding performance in dual meet against Texas A&M, as he won the 100-yard freestyle (44.98), placed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (21.09) and was a member of the first-place 400-yard freestyle relay team… Finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:38.61) and second in the 100-yard freestyle (45.04) at the All-Florida Invitational in his first meet as a Gator… Honors: NCAA Champion… Four All-America honors… SEC Champion… First Team All-SEC… SEC Freshman of the Week (11/5).

Prior to Florida:

Attended Gimbasket High School in Poland… Parents are Marek and Jadwiga… Has one sibling, Paulina… Majoring in computer engineering.
