2015-2016 (freshman)
NCAA Championships: Qualified in both the one and three-meter events at the 2016 NCAA Meet… competed as Florida’s only male diver… dove to a 24th-place finish off the 1-Meter with a score of 315.40 and a 35th-place showing off the 3-Meter on a 312.60… SEC Championships: Dove to three Top-10 finishes and led the male divers as the UF men went onto their fourth straight SEC Championship… dove to an ninth-place showing off the platform (335.35) in addition to a pair of 10th-place showings on the 1-Meter (315.10) and 3-Meter (345.25)… Dove at all nine regular-season meets… Opened the dual season on Oct. 10 against Minnesota on a high note with a two season-best scores… dove to a 351.60 on the 1-Meter and a 392.70 on the 3-Meter… achieved a season-best 366.23 platform score on Oct. 17 vs. Texas… Honors: Smith was named the Southeastern Conference Diver of the Week following his stellar week at Minnesota where he finished first and second off the one and 3-Meter springboards…
Prior to Florida
Smith is currently a member of the USA Diving National Team and has a long list of accolades that include being a 2013 National Champion and a 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials finalist. Most recently at the USA Diving Junior National Championships, Smith placed fourth on both boards, as he posted scores of 534.85 on the one-meter and 595.30 on the three-meter.
