· Clinched the 4-2 victory over SEC Tournament host Vanderbilt to advance the Gators to the tournament finals
· Recorded an 8-3 record playing No. 6 singles in 2014
· Ranked as high as No. 84 in singles and No. 43 in ITA doubles rankings
· Earned the 2014 Gators Coaches’ Award
Fall 2013
· Advanced to the third round of the ITA Men’s All-America Qualifying Doubles with partner Florent Diep
· Competed in the semifinals of the 2013 UTSA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational in Orlando with doubles partner Stephane Piro
JUNIOR
Spring 2013
· Ended the season with a 30-13 overall singles record – 30 singles wins ranked first on the team
· Posted a 15-6 dual match record with a 6-4 mark in the SEC
· Was 2-0 overall at both the No. 3 and 5 singles positions and 11-6 at the No. 4 position
· Compiled a 22-14 record in doubles, reaching as high as No. 45 in the rankings with partner Florent Diep
· Had a season-long seven-match win streak early in the spring season
· Had one win against a ranked opponent, No. 90 Shane Vinsant, which provided the clinching point in the team’s upset victory against No. 11 Texas A&M; also won the clinching point against UNC-Wilmington, Florida State, No. 13 Vanderbilt and No. 17 South Carolina.
Fall 2012
· Finished with a 14-5 singles record and a 10-3 doubles record with Florent Diep
· Advanced to the quarterfinals of the Southern Intercollegiate Championship in Athens, Georgia
· Reached the semifinals at the Bedford Cup in Gainesville, Florida
· Reached the semifinals of the Dick Vitale Clay Court Classic in Bradenton, Florida
· Teamed up with Florent Diep to win the Doubles Title at the 45th Annual Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Georgia
· The duo also advanced to the doubles finals of the Bedford Cup in Gainesville, Florida
SOPHOMORE
Spring 2012
· Ranked second on the team with 25 total singles wins on the season, finishing with a 25-6 record
· Posted a 12-2 dual match record, including a 7-1 mark in SEC dual matches
· Had a 12-match win streak during the spring dual season, including two wins over ranked opponents during the streak
· Finished with a 5-0 record at No. 5 singles and a 7-2 record at No. 6 singles
· Reached No. 114 in the ITA Singles Rankings on March 13
· Provided the clinching point in three matches
· Posted three wins over ranked opponents on the season
Fall 2011
· Finished with an 8-3 singles record and 3-1 overall doubles record in fall play
· Won all three of his matches in the Gator Invitational
FRESHMAN
Spring 2011
· Suffered an ankle injury at the SEC Indoor Championships in January
· Scored an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles with Sekou Bangoura Jr. vs. UCF in his only dual appearance
· Also posted a doubles win over LSU’s top-10 pair of Sebastian Carlsson and Neal Skupski at SEC Indoors, earning Alford and Bangoura a national ranking for much of the spring
· Ranked 88th in the final ITA national doubles rankings
Fall 2010
· Posted a 7-7 singles record and a 10-4 doubles record with Andrew Butz
· Notched his first career win over a nationally-ranked player with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Christian Blocker (preseason No. 72) at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic at Bradenton, Florida
· Advanced to the doubles quarterfinals at the Texas Invitational in Austin
Prior to Florida
· A five-star recruit and the No. 10 overall recruit nationally, as rated by tennisrecruiting.net
· Won the 3A state singles championship in Florida as a junior and senior at Tampa’s Wharton High School, helping the Wildcats win three straight state team titles
· Did not drop a set his senior year at Wharton
· Advanced to the Round of 32 (fourth round) at the USTA Boys National Tennis Championships 18s singles draw in August 2010
· Won the USTA National Open in Tampa in February 2010
· Won the 2009 USTA Florida Jr. State Closed Doubles in the Boys’ 18 draw
