Member of the Puerto Rican National Team … Represented Puerto Rico at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy, and swam the 50 and 100-meter free events, setting personal best times in both.

2008-09: A member of the 2009 SEC Academic Honor Roll … Provided depth for the Gators in the sprint freestyle races … Secured career-best marks in the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyle races … Best times in all three races came at the 2009 Princeton Invite, while she also competed in the 200 IM at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships … Swam in eight meets for the Gators on the season, including LSU, South Carolina, FSU, Virginia, Florida Atlantic, IRSC/FGCU, the Princeton Invite and Florida Swimming SR Championships, swimming a mix of freestyle, breast and IM … Placed third in the 100 free (53.62) against IRSC/FGCU and 6th in the 100 breast (1:10.00) against FAU.
2007-08: Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll her sophomore campaign for her work in the classroom … Finished 20th in the 200 IM (2:31.67) at the Alabama Invite … At the Boilermaker Invitational, placed 15th in the 200-yard free, 19th in the 200 IM, 20thoverall in the 200 IM and 23rd in the 100 free … Placed fourth in the 200 IM (2:12.19) and reeled in seventh in the 100 and 200-yard breast events against Kentucky … Seventh in the 200-meter IM (2:29.79) and 200-meter breast (2:56.25) against Georgia … Exhibitioned the 50-meter free and 200-meter IM against Michigan.

Born Coral del Mar Lopez Rosario on Sept. 9, 1988, in Ceiba, Puerto Rico … Daughter of Jose Lopez and Norma Rosario … Has two siblings, Alex (30) and Fabian (11) … Alex is a three-time Olympian who swam for Florida from 1997-01, earning nine All-America honors … Chose Florida because it felt right … Also considered Arizona State, Miami and Virginia in the decision process … Future ambitions include becoming a lawyer and a politician in Puerto Rico … Majoring in business administration/entrepreneurship.
