National/International Competition
Represented Bosnia at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy… Finished 41st in the 200 fly (2:18.09), 53rd in prelims of the 100-meter fly (1:01.31), 55th in the 200 IM (2:26.33) and 83rd in the 100 free (58.91)… A 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier… Finished 91st in the 200-meter butterfly (2:20.49), 122nd overall in the 100-meter butterfly (1:02.93) at the trials in Omaha, Neb.
At Florida
2009-10: A 2010 SEC Academic Honor Roll selection… Swam a personal-best 52.16 in the 100 free in the win at Tennessee… Also finished second in the 100 fly (54.72) and 200 fly (2:00.86) vs. the Lady Vols… Took fourth in the 100 fly (56.13) in the victory over Auburn… Won the 200 fly (2:02.92) in the win against Florida Atlantic and the victory vs. Indian River State College (2:03.88)… Placed fourth in the 100 fly (56.31) in the rivalry win over Florida State… Took fifth in the 200 fly (2:04.27) in the double-dual meet against Michigan and Stanford… Finished fourth in the 100 fly (57.21) in the double-dual meet vs. Arkansas and Kansas.
2008-09: A member of the 2009 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom her freshman campaign… Had two career-best meets during the 2008-09 season, first at the 2009 Princeton Big Al Invitational… Finished fifth in the 200 IM (2:02.92), took fourth in the 100 fly (54.88) and 200 fly (1:59.71) and placed eighth in the 200 free (1:52.62) after setting a career-best 1:50.51 in prelims… Was additionally a member of UF’s second place 200-yard free, 200-yard medley and 400-yard medley relays in Princeton and swam in the 800-yard free relay that placed third… Achieved two season and career-best swims at the 2009 Florida Swimming Senior Championships in Orlando when she clocked a 23.86 in the 50 free and a 54.44 in the 100 fly… Swam a total of 10 meets for the Gators her initial season at UF, including showdowns against SEC rivals Auburn and Georgia… Highlights included second-place swims in the 100 (57.11) and 200 fly (2:03.19) versus South Carolina… Wrapped up the dual meet season by taking second in the 200 fly (2:05.20) as the Gators defeated IRSC and FGCU.
