
Diego Hidalgo and the Florida Gators travel to Austin this weekend for the ITA Kick-Off Weekend
Two Top-20 Match Ups Await UF at ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Austin

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men's tennis team is off to Austin, Texas this weekend to compete in the 2016 ITA Kick-Off Weekend, hosted by the University of Texas.
UF will compete in two matches over the weekend. The first match will be against the No. 20-ranked Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns feature two singles players and one doubles pairing in the preseason Oracle ITA Rankings. The second match will feature the No. 15 Texas Tech Red Raiders or familiar SEC foe, No. 17 Ole Miss.
The Gators are 2-0 in the young 2016 season after victories over Troy and Stetson last Sunday afternoon. UF earned the doubles point in each match and went on to win 13 of their 14 singles matches.
Last Time with the Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns hold the all-time series lead at 8-5 against the Gators. The last time these two teams met was in the 2008 NCAA Tournament Round of 16. UT defeated UF, 4-0 that day to end the Gators' 2008 season.
Who's Arrived in Austin?
Four teams ranked in the ITA Top-25 have arrived in Austin along with numerous singles and doubles players. The Texas Regional has one of the strongest fields with the participating teams only separated by six spots in the Oracle/ITA Team Rankings.
