Florida Begins Four Match Road Stretch with Alabama on Friday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 6 University of Florida women's tennis team will complete the regular season on the road in the Southeastern Conference. The Gators will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday night at the Alabama Tennis Stadium at 6 p.m. ET.
UF comes into the match with nine consecutive wins all coming in SEC play to remain the lone perfect team in the league. Alabama has not won a match in SEC play with a record of 0-9. Florida ended the home portion of their regular season schedule with two wins over LSU and Texas A&M to remain a perfect 9-0 at the Ring Tennis Complex this season.
Florida will continue its road swing in the state of Alabama with a Sunday afternoon contest with the No. 13 Auburn Tigers at 2 p.m. ET.
Last Serve with the Crimson Tide
After dropping the doubles point, the Gators grabbed four singles victories from Austin, Kuhlman, Keegan and Belinda Woolcock clinched the match on court four for the Orange and Blue over then-No. 9 Alabama on Feb. 28, 2015.

Florida leads the all-time series over Alabama, 39-1.
SEC Player of the Week
After helping the Gators reach nine consecutive wins last weekend, sophomore Brooke Austin was named the SEC Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
