ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 14 UF men's tennis team fought a tough match in Athens on Friday night, falling 6-1 to No. 13 Georgia. The Bulldogs are the reigning SEC Champions, and are currently undefeated in the conference with a 10-0 SEC record.
In doubles play, Joshua Wardell and Chase Perez-Blanco fought hard against Ponwith and Reinberg, staying within one game of the Bulldog team before they eventually pulled away to beat the Gators duo 6-3. Maxx Lipman and Elliott Orkin also hung in with the Bulldogs' team of Ponwith and Reinberg, but Georgia took the match 6-3 to clinch the doubles point for the Bulldogs.
