Men's Tennis to host Ranked +1 Tournament this weekend

The Gator Ranked +1 tournament will be the lone home tournament for the men's tennis team
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men's tennis team will be at home this weekend, hosting their only fall tournament of the season. The Gators will welcome nine teams to Gainesville for the Gator Ranked +1 tournament that will start at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 24.
The Gator Ranked +1 tournament will feature some of the top talent in the country as 16 players ranked in the International Tennis Association top-125 will be in attendance, including five ranked inside the top-50.
Coming to Gainesville for the Gator Ranked +1 will be the University of North Florida, Louisville, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Illinois, Tennessee, Kentucky, Tulane and Mississippi State.

What does Ranked +1 Mean
Any team in attendance is allowed to bring any of their student-athletes ranked inside of the ITA top-125 and for every ranked player they bring they are allowed one additional entry from their team who is not ranked.
Tournament Schedule
Friday, Sept. 22: Two singles rounds with 16 matches per round and one doubles round with eight matches
Saturday, Sept. 23: One singles round with 16 matches and two doubles rounds with eight matches per round
Sunday, Sept. 24: One singles round with 16 matches
Parking Information
Parking for the Gator Ranked +1 tournament will be in the GREEN parking lots only on Friday. The restrictions for the green lot have been lifted and restrictions on all campus parking lots are lifted after 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Broadcast Information
All matches on courts one through six will be live streamed throughout the three day tournament. You can find the link to the live stream page by clicking HERE. Live scoring for the event will only take place on Sunday.
Ivy-Plus Invitational
The Gator Ranked +1 won't be the only tournament that the men's tennis team will be competing in over the weekend. The Gators will be sending Stephen Madonia, Andy Andrade and Jordan Belga to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Ivy-Plus Invitational. The three day tournament runs from Friday, Sept. 22 through Sunday Sept. 24.
The Gators will be joined at the invite by; Baylor, Brown, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Monmouth, UNC Asheville, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Yale.
Friday's draws will being at 9 a.m. with two rounds of doubles and a round of singles. On Saturday there will be two rounds of singles matches starting at 8:30 a.m. and on Sunday they will hold the final round of doubles at 8:30 a.m. followed by the final round of singles.
Coach Shelton on this Weekend's Tournaments
"Our guys have a great opportunity this weekend to raise their level of play," head coach Bryan Shelton said. "Our goal is to make the most out of each match and improve in multiple ways throughout both tournaments."
"Our staff recognizes just how hard our guys are working with enthusiasm, and we have a lot of confidence in each one of them to handle themselves in a Championship manner."
"We appreciate the invitation from Princeton to compete at such a special university. I also want to thank Coach Tanner Stump and Kate Harte for organizing our tournament. We want all the participating teams that are visiting to feel that this is a very special event."
