
Gators Add Wednesday Morning Match with UAB

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida women's tennis has added a mid-week matchup with the University of Alabama at Birmingham on Wednesday, Mar. 16 at 9 a.m. ET at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
PARKING
Parking restrictions for only the green lot next to the complex will be lifted for Wednesday's match.
WEATHER REPORT
The contest with UAB is calling for a chance of rain in the area on Wednesday. In the event of a washout, competition will be moved indoors where attendance will be limited. Seats indoors will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Live stats and live video will not be available at the indoor facility, so all stat updates will come from GatorsWTN Twitter.
A LOOK AT THE SERIES
Wednesday will mark the first ever matchup between the Gators (9-4, 2-2 SEC) and Blazers.
LAST TIME OUT
During their last outing, the Gators defeated ranked SEC-foe, Tennessee, 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. On a chilly day, the Orange & Blue got victories from McCartney Kessler, Marlee Zein and Sara Dahlstrom in singles play while also claiming the doubles point to down the No. 16-ranked Lady Volunteers.
SCOUTING THE BLAZERS
UAB, who competes in Conference USA, enters Wednesday holding an 8-5 record, including a 3-3 mark on the road. Most recently, the Blazers fell to No. 69 Kennesaw State, 2-5, and will compete against Western Kentucky on Monday afternoon. Last season, the Blazers ended with a 14-7 record, including a 3-1 tally in CUSA play.
