
No. 16 Gators Hit the Road for Matches with Missouri and Arkansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. – After a break in Southeastern Conference play on Wednesday, the Gators return to conference action with away matches at Missouri and Arkansas this weekend.
The match against Missouri is slated to begin at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, Mar. 18 while the matchup with No. 36 Arkansas will begin at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, Mar. 20.
A LOOK AT THE SERIES
Friday will mark the ninth meeting between the Gators (10-4, 2-2 SEC) and Tigers (6-10, 1-2 SEC), with Florida holding a perfect 8-0 tally in the series. During the 2021 campaign, the Orange & Blue defeated Missouri, 4-1, at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex. In Columbia, Missouri is 0-4 against the Gators.
Florida has been just as dominant against the Razorbacks (10-3, 3-0 SEC), entering Sunday's matchup with an impressive 32-1 series record against Arkansas, including a 13-1 mark in Fayetteville. Last season, UF claimed the victory with a 4-0 win at home.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gators took a break from SEC competition on Wednesday morning, earning a convincing victory over visiting University of Alabama at Birmingham. Altering the normal lineup, Florida quickly claimed the doubles point with McCartney Kessler/Alicia Dudeney at one, Carly Briggs/Emma Shelton at two and Sara Dahlstrom/Bente Spee at three. In singles play, a lineup of Dudeney, Shelton, Briggs, Dahlstrom, Sydney Berlin and Spee completed the shutout for a 7-0 victory over the Blazers.

In the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings, the Gators dropped to No. 16 in the country while moving to No. 14 in the United States Tennis Association rankings. Individually, two
Gators find themselves ranked including:

On the doubles side, the top two doubles teams for Florida sit in the top-20 nationally:
Carly Briggs/Marlee Zein – No. 6

AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS
Florida's schedule during the 2022 season has been no slouch, matching up with nine ranked opponents in their last 11 matches. Holding a 5-4 mark during that stretch, the Orange & Blue defeated No.18/24 Florida State twice, No. 17 Old Dominion, No. 16 Tennessee and No. 16 Washington, falling only to No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 11 Ohio State and No. 23 Georgia.
