AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2013): Chosen to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Participated in 32 games for the Orange and Blue, with 11 starts, all in right field… Batted .275 (11-for-40), scored five runs and totaled four RBI… Was 1-for-5 (.200) in 10 SEC contests...Scored a career-high two runs and had an RBI single in the rout of Florida A&M… Collected his first RBI in league action with a fielder’s choice in the finale at No. 3 LSU that brought across Richie Martin… Delivered a pinch-hit single in the ninth inning of the third meeting with Missouri for his first SEC hit… Was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored against UCF… Contributed a career-high two singles and was 2-for-5 in the Gators’ win at Jacksonville… Recorded first career double and came home on a two-bagger by Justin Shafer in the third game with Miami (Fla.)… Was 3-for-4 (.750) on the opening weekend of the season versus Duke… Started the opener in right field and roped an RBI single down the right-field line in his first collegiate at bat.
(2012): One of the five Gator baseball players named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll… Was redshirted in his first season on the Florida campus.
SUMMER: Played for the North Shore Navigators in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League last summer, along with Gator teammates Keenan Kish and Corey Stump… Batted .194 in 22 games with 10 runs, eight walks, three doubles and two RBI… Was 4-for-7 on stolen-base opportunities.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Port St. Lucie High School and played for head coach Tony Malizia… Became the fourth player in school history to reach 100 hits… Named first-team all-area and was chosen to the Best of the Treasure Coast team from The Palm Beach Post as a senior… The Jaguars claimed the District 14-5A title and advanced to the regional semifinals… Batted .406 with 25 runs, 19 walks, 11 RBI, three doubles, two homers and a triple… Participated in the Treasure Coast All-Star Game… Was a first-team Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers All-Area selection as a junior, finishing his season with a .414 batting average, 13 RBI and 10 stolen bases and four homers… Member of the National Honor Society and Bible Study at Port St. Lucie.
