  • Registered 32 of the first-place finishing Florida men’s team points across three events

  • His times in the 200 free and 100 back marked season-best efforts
Regular Season
  • Competed in the A-final and placed 10th overall in the 50 free at the Buckeye Invitational, finishing with a season-best 20.88
  • Posted UF’s second-fastest 50 back time this season with a relay-opening 22.36 at the Buckeye Invitational
  • His time in the 100 back at the SEC Championships stands as the third-fastest 100 back time this season.

NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:
  • Raced in the 2017 World University Games for New Zealand, swimming in six events over the course of the week
  • He swam in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstrokes, as well as the 100m free, 4x200m free relay and 4x100m medley relay
  • Posted a time of 26.14 in the 50m back to finish 25th overall and swam a 51.90 in 100m free to finish 61st
  • He finished 36th in the 100m back with a time of 57.34 and swam a 2:05.16 in the 200m back to finish 25th overall
  • His best relay finish came in the 4x200m free relay where he and Team New Zealand finished 14th overall with a time of 7:37.46
  • Posted a time of 3:25.76 in the 4x100m free relay to finish in 17th and closed out his week with a 3:44.94 in the 4x100m medley relay, putting NZ in 21st place
  • Competed at the 2017 US Open Swimming Championships, participating in the men’s 100m and 200m backstroke
  • Qualified for the B final in the 100m back, posting a time of 56.67...Swam a 2:04.42 in the 200m back.

  • He was a three-time Junior Swimmer of the Year from 2010-2012
  • Was coached by Jana Wilkitzki at Macleans
  • Holds the New Zealand age group records for 13 year olds in the short course 50 free (25.20) and for 14 year olds in the short course 100 free (53.10) and long course 50 free (24.55)
  • He is the younger brother of former Gator Corey Main
  • Chose UF because of its solid swimming & diving program to go along with its excellent academics.
