Gators Set for Regular Season Finale with Volunteers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 13 University of Florida men's tennis team will close the 2016 regular season with the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday afternoon at the Ring Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 1 p.m. with Senior Day festivities commencing at 12:45 p.m.
Florida is coming of a dominating sweep of the No. 20-ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Friday night at the Ring Tennis Complex. The Gators grabbed the doubles point for the fifth consecutive match with Diego Hidalgo clinched his second consecutive match for the Orange and Blue. Junior Maxx Lipman sealed the sweep for UF by winning his first SEC singles match of the season.
The Gators are looking finish the SEC regular season with 10 wins for the first time since the 2004-2005 season.
Up next, the Florida Gators will begin postseason play at the 2016 Southeastern Conference Tournament in Columbia, S.C.

The Gators defeated the Vols 4-1 on April 12, 2015 in Knoxville. After grabbing the doubles point, Lipman and Perez-Blanco secured singles wins on four and five, then Elliott Orkin clinched the regular season finale with a victory on court two.
