AS A JUNIOR (2008): Achieved Academic All-SEC status for the third time…Appeared in four games and was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts...Fanned as a pinch hitter versus South Carolina in the ninth inning of the SEC Tournament...Struck out as a pinch hitter against both Bethune-Cookman and Florida State...Made season debut as a pinch hitter in the 15-2 win over Eastern Michigan and grounded out to third base.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll…Made his collegiate debut in the 24-4 win over George Washington on March 3…That victory was the nightcap of a doubleheader sweep for Florida…In his first-ever plate appearance, Bentley was plunked as a pinch hitter and later scored…Also played left field and made a putout.   

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2006): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll…Did not see any action in his first season as a Gator.

(2005): Was redshirted in his first season on the Florida campus.

HIGH SCHOOL:Was a three-year starter for head coach John Crumbley at Jesuit High School…Achieved honorable mention all-state in Class 3A as a senior, when the Tigers finished 30-3 and reached the semifinals of the state tournament…Batted .370 and led the squad with six home runs…Earned three varsity letters in football and served as captain…Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society at JHS…Was affiliated with the Magis, a community service organization.
