AS A JUNIOR IN 2001-02 - Transferred to Florida from Kansas when the school decided to drop the program following the 2000-01 season...Was 22-17 overall in singles and a team-best 28-13 in doubles...Finished the season 97th in the ITA singles rankings...Joined Matt Behrmann as the only Gators with at least 20 wins in both singles and doubles...Peaked at No. 50 in the singles rankings and No. 12 in doubles...A steady presence at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles in his first year at UF...Was second on the team with four ranked singles wins and is tied for the team lead with four ranked doubles wins...Posted UF's top ranked win of the year by beating #17 Romain Ambert of Mississippi State...Clinched UF's win over Georgia State in the first round of the NCAAs with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Luka Bernard in which he trailed 4-2 in each set...Advanced to the doubles final at the SEC Indoor Championships in January with Olivier Levant...En route to that final they posted UF's top doubles win of the year by beating #5 Colombo and Ruffoni of Auburn, 9-7, in the semifinals.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2000-01 - KU's No. 1 singles player, going 12-18 overall in singles play, and 21-13 in doubles...Selected to play in 2001 NCAA Doubles Championship but fell in the first round...Named All-Big 12 in singles...Captured the 2000 ITA Region V Championship in doubles play, and advanced to the consolation finals of the Rolex National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships ...Earned a No. 70 ranking in the ITA's preseason list.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999-2000 - Crowned 1999 ITA Region V singles champion...Earned 2000 Region V Rookie of the Year honors...Selected as the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Year...Finished the year with a team best 29-18 singles mark and 18-14 doubles record...Ranked No. 6 in the region in singles play and No. 12 in doubles action.
PREP - Trained at the Monterrey, Mexico, Academy with the best juniors in Mexico...Was ranked in the top three singles among juniors in Mexico.
