AS A SENIOR (1984) - Florida team captain for the second consecutive year…third in the Southeastern Conference uneven bars competition (18.65)…also took third on bars at the NCAA Southeast Regional competition (9.45)…appeared primarily in vault and bars lineups…member of the Academic All-SEC Honor Roll…recipient of a NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. AS A JUNIOR (1983) – Florida team captain…third on bars (18.65) and beam (18.75) at the SEC Championships…sixth in the SEC all-around (36.65) to earn All-SEC honors. AS A SOPHOMORE (1982) – 1982 AIAW balance beam champion (two-day total: 18.65)…earned AIAW All-America honors in both the all-around and balance beam…'82 NCAA Southeast Regional and SEC champion in all-around (36.95/NCAA Regional; 37.10/SEC) and balance beam (18.60/NCAA Regional; 19.00/SEC)…also won 1982 AIAW Regional beam title (9.60)…set UF balance beam record (9.80). AS A FRESHMAN (1981) - AIAW Region III Gymnast of the Year…SEC all-around (36.35) and balance beam (18.40) champion…AIAW Regional beam (9.65) and all-around (36.95) champion…placed sixth in beam and 17th all-around in the world at '81 World University Games in Bulgaria. PRIOR TO FLORIDA -Three-time All-American as a prep…1980 New Jersey state champion in all-around, bars and beam, finishing second in vault and third in floor…'80 AAU Junior National champ on beam, placing fourth overall…member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-med honors fraternity. PERSONAL- Graduated from Ridgewood High School…sister of Gator gymnast Karen McDonnell…majoring in microbiology (Pre-med).
