AS A SOPHOMORE (1984) – Competed as an all-arounder twice, turning in collegiate-best total of 36.95 at the Southeastern Conference Championships…in NCAA Championships’ team competition, tied for 21st on the uneven bars (9.40) and tied for 10th on balance beam (9.10)…Member of the Academic All-SEC Honor Roll. AS A FRESHMAN (1983) – Shared the 1983 SEC balance beam title with teammate Elfi Schlegel…one of Florida's top beam workers, scoring a high of 9.55. PRIOR TO FLORIDA - Placed 13th all-around at 1981 Second Elite Nationals and 17th all-around at First Elite Nationals…also won 1981 Mid-Atlantic Gymnastic Directors Association (MAGDA League) titles in all-around, bars, beam and floor, and second place in vault…won 1978 and '79 USGF state championships in all-around and floor…1978 & ’79 New Jersey state champion in all-around and beam optionals…did not compete in 1980…was a member of the '82 Starlette School of Gymnastics team that won the state championship. PERSONAL - Graduate of Ridgewood High School…sister of Gator gymnast Lynn McDonnell…majoring in broadcasting.
