At Florida:
2014-15:
Ended his season by clocking career-best time in the 100-yard butterfly at Florida’s Last Chance Meet with a time of 51.70 seconds… Finished fifth and sixth in the 500-yard (4:41.25) and 1,000-yard (9:33.16) freestyle races in UF’s dual meet at Florida State… Placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle in a dual meet at Georgia with a time of 1:44.16… Competed in two events in a dual meet at Kentucky and notched his best-finish in the 200-yard freestyle, as he placed fourth in a time of 1:43.48… Won the B-Final of the 400-yard individual medley at the Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational in 4:04.57… Honors: 2015 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14:
Finished as the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley at the Bulldog Last Chance Meet in a time of 3:51.17… Posted a season-low times in the 500-yard freestyle (4:29.34) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:34.69) at the Ohio State Invitational… Competed at multiple dual meets throughout the regular season for UF… Honors: 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2012-13:
Notched a top-10 finish at the All-Florida Invitational, as he placed sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:57.04… Earned multiple top-5 finishes during dual meets and invitational competition throughout the regular season… Honors: 2013 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2011-12:
Placed first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:34.04) and second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:19.77) in a dual meet against Florida Atlantic… Notched a pair of top-10 finishes at the Georgia Tech Invitational, as he placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:31.63) and 10th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:52.58)… Made his collegiate debut at the All-Florida Invitational.
Prior to Florida:
Named a NISCA High School All-American, as he finished runner-up in the 500 free at the 2010 Florida State Championship meet… Rated a five-star recruit by Swimming World Magazine, as he was one of the nation’s top distance swimmers… His high school swim team was created as a result of Silva’s potential… Trained with the Gator Swim Club under head coach Chris Oliver.
