Youth Olympic Gold Medalist in the 50 back with a time of 26.36 seconds (national record) in 2010… He earned Trinidad and Tobago’s first gold medal at an Olympic event since Montreal (1976).

2014-15:
NCAA Championships: Earned two All-American honors, as he placed 14th in the 100-yard butterfly (46.22) and was a member of UF’s seventh-place 400-yard medley relay team that clocked a time of 3:05.71… SEC Championships: Placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (46.26), eighth in the 100-yard backstroke (46.73) and finished third in the B-Final of the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:42.70… Also was a member of Florida’s second-place 400-yard medley relay team that clocked a time of 3:05.09… Finished with four individual wins and was part of four first-place relay teams during the dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Two-time All-American… Second Team All-SEC… 2015 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14:
NCAA Championships: Earned his first career All-American honor as part of Florida’s fifth-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:24.82)… SEC Championships: Captured an SEC Championship, as he was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed first in a time of 1:24.53… Individually, Homer won the consolation final of the 100-yard butterfly in a personal-best time of 46.80 seconds and he placed 11th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 47.07 seconds… Earned four individual wins and was a member of two first-place relay teams during dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: All-American… SEC Champion… First-Team All-SEC… 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2012-13:
SEC Championships: Set personal-best times in three events including the 100-yard backstroke (10th place, 47.69), 100-yard butterfly (18th place, 47.62) and in the 50-yard freestyle (28th place, 20.47)… Competed in various events during dual meets and invitational competition throughout the season.
2011-12:
SEC Championships: Tabbed as a 2012 SEC All-Freshman Team performer following his ninth place swim in the 100-yard butterfly and 15th place effort in the 100-yard backstroke… Made his UF debut against Florida Atlantic where he claimed the first place in the 100-yard backstroke (51.58) and runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly (51.59)… Competed in various events at other dual meets and invitational competition throughout the season… Honors: SEC All-Freshman Team.
Prior to Florida:
Named the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee’s Junior Sportsman of the Year and Youth Achiever of the Year by the Trinidad Guardian Sports Desk Awards in 2010… Selected as the 2010 First Citizens Sports Foundation Junior Sportsman of the Year… Caribbean Island Swimming Champion and Caribbean Age-Group Swimming champion… Was selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India… Nominated by ASATT as Swimmer of the Year in his age group… Swam under Franz Huggins with the Areios Aquatechs club team… Parents are Paul Charmaine.
